Landscape Gardening services
Whitefoot Landscapes are landscape gardeners in Southampton, designing and building gardens across the city and its suburbs since 2017. We’re based near Winchester, working across Southampton and the surrounding areas, so we’re never far away, whether you’re in a terraced home in Portswood or a new-build in Hedge End.
From patios and driveways to artificial grass and full garden builds, we’ll design it, build it and look after it. Tell us about your garden, and we’ll show you what we can do.
Garden landscaping in Southampton
Our landscape gardening covers design, hard landscaping such as patios and driveways, planting, and ongoing maintenance, taking your garden from first idea to finished space. Whitefoot Landscapes has done all four for both residential and commercial clients since 2017, when founders Elliot and Simon set up the company.
Southampton keeps us busy with a different kind of garden to our rural jobs: smaller urban plots, family gardens in the suburbs and brand-new spaces on new-build estates. Much of our work here is about making the most of the space, with low-maintenance finishes that leave you more time to enjoy it. We cover Southampton and the surrounding postcodes.

Artificial Grass and Lawns
Get a green, tidy lawn all year round with almost no upkeep. Artificial grass is ideal for busy families, pets and small or shaded city gardens. Prefer the real thing? We lay proper turf too.
How we work
Step 1 - Design conversation
First, we want to know what you want from your garden. We visit, walk the space with you and listen to your ideas, how you plan to use it, and the budget you’re working with.
Step 2 - One-of-a-kind design
We put together a design made for your garden with layout, materials and planting set out clearly, whether that’s a compact city courtyard or a blank new-build plot.
Step 3 - Installation, minimal disruption
Once the design is approved, our team gets to work. We keep the site tidy, keep you informed and keep disruption to a minimum, keeping your home liveable.
Step 4 - Aftercare
Getting the garden finished is just the start. From planting advice to regular maintenance visits, we’re on hand to help your new garden settle in and stay at its best.

Low-maintenance, family and new-build gardens in Southampton
Southampton gardens tend to be short on space, so we design with this in mind. In compact urban and courtyard gardens, we make every metre earn its keep. And for busy families and pet owners, we build low-maintenance gardens with artificial grass, paving and decking, so weekends aren’t spent working on the lawn.
We also finish new-build plots from scratch on estates around Hedge End, West End, Chandler’s Ford and Eastleigh, adding turf, a patio and fencing to a bare garden. And where neighbours are close, privacy and composite fencing keep your garden feeling like your own.
Areas we cover around Southampton
We work right across Southampton, from Shirley and Millbrook to Bitterne and Woolston east of the Itchen. We’re often in Bassett, Chilworth, Highfield and Portswood around the north of the city, and down the waterside in Netley Abbey, Hamble and Bursledon.
We also cover Chandler’s Ford and Eastleigh, which sit between our base and the city, along with Hedge End and West End, and we work across too. If you don’t see your area here, just ask; we’re happy to travel across Hampshire.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you cover Southampton and the surrounding villages?
Yes. We're based near Winchester and work right across Southampton and South Hampshire, including Bitterne, Portswood, Shirley, Netley Abbey, Hedge End, West End and Eastleigh. We're happy to travel anywhere in Hampshire, so get in touch and we'll let you know how we can help.
How much does landscaping cost in Southampton?
Every garden is different, so prices vary with the size of the space, the materials you choose and how much groundwork is needed. The best way to find out is with a free, no-obligation call, where we'll talk through your ideas and give you a clear, honest price to consider in your own time.
Do you offer garden design as well as the build?
We have experienced garden designers on the team, so we can take your ideas, put them on paper and agree on a plan before work begins. If you only need a small change, a full design may not be necessary, and we'll plan accordingly.
Do you offer driveways, tarmac and block paving?
Yes. Alongside patios, paving and full garden landscaping, we provide driveways in tarmac and block paving. We look after the groundwork, drainage and edging so the finish looks smart, drains well and stands up to daily use. Get in touch and we will talk through the right option for your home.
Do you take on commercial work?
We work on both residential and commercial projects across Hampshire, from private gardens to business grounds around Southampton. Whether it's a one-off installation or regular maintenance, every job gets the same care and standard of finish.
Can you make the most of a small or low-maintenance garden?
Many Southampton gardens are compact or need to be easy to look after, so we use artificial grass, paving, decking and a clever layout to make the most of the space. It's great for busy families, pet owners and anyone who'd rather enjoy their garden than spend weekends maintaining it.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Every quote is free and comes with no obligation. We will visit, listen to what you have in mind and put together a clear price. There is nothing to pay for the visit or the quote, and no pressure to book the work with us.
What is the best time of year to landscape a garden?
Any time of year. We work all year round, so the best time is whenever suits you. Planting can be seasonal, and we'll guide you on that, but patios, paving, driveways and fencing can go ahead throughout the year, and we'll work around your plans.
Make your garden work for you
Whether you’re looking for maintenance or more major work, we ensure the same great service so don’t hesitate to contact us for a quote.
